I go by the name Aevious/Ari in the virtual world.
I am a Game Designer & Programmer currently pursuing a Master's degree in Computer Games, with a background in software engineering and web development. My journey began with creating software and web-based experiences, but I eventually found my true passion in game development, building interactive worlds, designing gameplay systems and bringing stories to life through games.
My experience in web development and software engineering has given me a strong technical foundation, allowing me to approach game development from both a creative and engineering perspective. I enjoy combining design, programming and technology to create engaging and immersive experiences.
My primary interests are:
The Game Alphabet Development (GAD) series is my long-term personal challenge to create 26 games, one for every letter of the English alphabet.
Each project represents a different stage of my growth as a developer. Rather than developing games in alphabetical order, each project is created based on the skills, ideas, genres or technologies I want to explore at that point in my journey.
The goal of the GAD series is not only to create games, but to continuously challenge myself, experiment with different aspects of game development and gain the experience required to become a professional game developer.
Current projects include:
Project A — AirVOID : A simple arcade-style endless game created as the first entry of the GAD series. This project focused on learning the fundamentals of game development, including player controls, collision systems, spawning, scoring and complete game loops.
Project F — FeatherBound : A third-person survival adventure bird simulator developed as a university group project. This project explored larger-scale environments, exploration, survival mechanics, combat systems, crafting, storytelling and world building.
Project G — Galaxy Shooter : A 2D space shooter developed while learning Unity. This project focused on gameplay systems, mobile development, enemy spawning, power-ups and difficulty progression.
Project Y — Yassantra : A third-person survival puzzle horror game focused on intelligent Enemy AI behaviour. This project explores AI-driven gameplay, adaptive enemy systems and designing horror experiences around unpredictable encounters.
Before Yassantra, I developed an Enemy AI system during an internship for an unreleased commercial game.
Due to the confidential nature of the project, details cannot be shared publicly. However, the experience played an important role in shaping my interest in AI-driven gameplay and inspired further exploration into intelligent enemy behaviour through my personal projects.
I believe games are one of the most powerful forms of storytelling because they allow players to experience worlds rather than simply observe them.
My goal as a developer is to create experiences that combine strong gameplay, meaningful systems and immersive worlds — whether that comes through intelligent enemies, unique mechanics or stories that players actively participate in.
The journey is still ongoing.
26 games. 26 letters. One developer.
GAME ON!
